  • Parks! Meridian Hill Park has drum circle every Sunday night and yoga at various times

  • Explore the National Mall - can be very crowded

  • Ton of museums - Smithsonians

  • Explore the city, general site seeing​

  • Go for a jog, walk around (cool architecture)

  • Kayak on the Potomac

  • Georgetown is a good for shopping

    • Georgetown Cupcake is overrated, go to Baked and Wired

  • Explore Old Town Alexandria

  • Lemon Collective - workshops for various crafts​

  • Tons of live music

  • Download Eventbrite to find events/shows 

  • Take a trip to Baltimore

  • ​​Fun Fact: None of the buildings within DC are taller than the Washington Monument so it's really nice to see the sky when you walk home.

TRANSPORTATION

  • Metro Card - click arrow for website​ 

    • ~$170/month for unlimited rides under $4.50/ride

    • Need this for using the metro (subway)​

  • MARC train to Baltimore is $8 each way

  • Can fly in and out of BWI, its between DC and Baltimore

  • Car not needed
