Baltimore, Maryland is the largest city in Maryland with a population of 593,490. It's home to Fort McHenry, birthplace of the U.S. national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Baltimore has more public statues and monuments per capita than any other city in the United States. It used to be a major hub of immigration and manufacturing, but today the economy is focused on the service industry.

TRANSPORTATION

Modes of Transportation

  • Bus and Car are best for inside the city, if traveling from outside the city there is the MARC Train.

  • Check to see if your company offers a monthly bus pass to employees. Very possible to get around with a car.

  • Parking is free in Fed Hill, Fells Point and most neighborhoods, fairly easy to find but pay attention to signs in the area

  • Biking is also an option - but make sure to store in a safe place, bike locks can be cut

  • There is a free water taxi to cross the Harbor, provided by Under Armour
